Below is a list of short essays. You will see five or six of them on your exam. You will not know which ones have been chosen until you enter the exam. In order to be fully prepared, you will want to write a historical identification paragraph for each one before taking the exam. Then you will copy your written response and paste it into the appropriate box in the exam. To help you understand what a historical identification paragraph is, read Professor Frakes’ chapter on “Short Writing Assignments.” Apply what you learn there to your writing for the module exams.
