Term paper assignment: At the beginning of the twentieth century, it became apparent to many that the way Americans viewed the environment needed to change. From Gifford Pinchot and John Muir to Cuyahoga and Love Canal, the need for change became clearer. Change, however, was not always welcomed. Look at this struggle between ecology and economics, explaining the important aspects of it. You will want to look at specific events across the century, explaining the factors involved in change, from grassroots to government. Your essay should have a specific thesis that unites your paper into a single presentation. Your paper will be submitted by attaching it to an email to me in Blackboard, where I will retrieve it. The college may also use it for assessment during a future accreditation visit. |
